Individual articles on many of the members of Fortune’s 2006 Global 500 have been inundating my CNNMoney news feed the last few days. Today, the top ten finally stumbled their way in:

- Wal-Mart Stores
- Royal Dutch Shell
- BP
- General Motors
- Chevron
- DaimlerChrysler
- Toyota Motor
- Ford Motor
- ConocoPhillips
What can I infer from that listing? Well, it looks like we spend a lot of our money filling up our Hummers/Grand Cherokees/Land Cruisers/Expeditions. And apparently, all to run on down to Walmart to score a deal and load up all that available cargo space with large quantities of cheap stuff…
