The Alpha John likes Chase just about as much as I like MBNA. He just wrote of a conversation with Chase customer service representative that just about anyone who has suffered through dealing with even the smallest problem with a credit card company has dreamt about: “Alright. Are you authorized to close my account? Because that is who I need to speak to right now.”
Now, that isn’t the choicest quote from his conversation (check out his writeup for a line or two of some more colorful language), so be forewarned that a little coffee may end up on your keyboard by the end of the article…
And, of course, we’ve got to have the obligatory “but think of your credit rating” comment from Anonymous. Sometimes it’s worth it to let the ol’ credit rating take a hit.
