Lately I’ve noticed that the ol’ personal [tag]filing[/tag] cabinet is bursting at the seams, so I spent a chunk of time Saturday afternoon going through it. An absolutely astounding amount of unnecessary [tag]receipts[/tag], manuals for things I no longer own, random articles filed for reasons long since forgotten, etc. found their way through the [tag]shredder[/tag] and out to the trash. And another big pile (amazingly big, now that we own a few pieces of real estate – activities related to that really know how to use a few trees) of marginally [tag]organized[/tag] information was set aside, until I could figure out what belonged where.

And what do I find in my newsreader today: JLP’s list of what to put in [tag]safety deposit box[/tag], along with a commenter directing me to this even more useful list of what to do with all those financial/[tag]personal papers[/tag] I now have lying around.

Brilliant! (OK, so I maybe have been watching too much soccer lately… )
